Been very busy with classes, but I'm taking this summer to relax and hone in on photography a little more. I still dabble in Apophysis a little, but I haven't created anything that I'm pleased with. Especially considering the wonderful images that are being produced lately by everyone else.
As for photography, I love it. have a couple different SLR's and I've found that the best camera for someone to use is one that you yourself are comfortable using. The only thing I will say on the subject is that an (D)SLR is hands down better than any point and shoot camera. But as far as the whole Nikon, Cannon, etc wars and arguing from with-in about which model is better than the next, I don't play into those battles. If you like it and it does what you need, then that's all you need. That's my only opinion on the subject. With that being said, I am happy to share settings and lighting details but please don't ask what camera was used, it's not that important.
I shoot both Digital and Film. I love to develop and enlarge myself. You really learn to appreciate the whole process, and it's fun.
I know my page views and comments have dropped considerably, hopefully that turns around. I notice that a lot of people like to FAV pics but won;t leave a comment. That's fine and all, but for goodness sake, If you like an image well enough to FAV it or ad it to some collection, he least y'all can do is leave a comment telling me what you like about it. I'm trying to to learn what works and what doesn't which is an ongoing process. But it's hard to advance if I don't get the feedback.
On the brighter side of things, One of my images made the front cover of my schools literary magazine that comes out once a year. So that was nice, getting the recognition and of course a check wasn't bad either.
Anyhow, stop by leave comments, I'll be on a lot this summer...
